The Client

Klarna is one of the biggest ‘buy-now, pay-later’ services in the world. The idea is that you can buy something from one of their participating retailers, receive the item, and pay for it through Klarna later on.

Problem

Creating and using OTC (Over-The-Counter) payment cards was a confusing and cumbersome process for many users. The process required users to navigate through multiple settings in order to create a card and then go back to the website to actually use it, causing frustration and dissatisfaction among users. Additionally, the complex nature of the process made it difficult for users to understand and complete, leading to a high abandonment rate. This is a major issue as it not only causes frustration for users but also results in lost business for the company. By making the process more user-friendly and accessible, the company can improve customer satisfaction and increase their revenue.

Solution

Our team developed a new feature to enhance the shopping experience for users. This feature allows them to create a card and use it seamlessly without having to navigate to a different page. We created a user-friendly menu that offers the option to pay with Klarna during checkout. To purchase a product, users must first navigate to the product's webpage using the built-in browser feature within the Klarna application, this can be done by pasting the URL address into the search bar on the Home page, and only then will they be able to take advantage of the smooth and seamless shopping experience of the OTC payment card feature.

So how to finally use it when the card is activated?

The ability to save card details for future use and have them automatically filled in during checkout saves time and increases security by reducing the need for users to manually enter their sensitive information. With this new feature, users can now enjoy a seamless and secure shopping experience without any interruptions.
